VIATEC (the Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology and Entrepreneurship Council), was formed in 1989, and connects local Victoria Technology companies to events, programs and services. Through networking events, workshops and resources, VIATEC has become a crucial part of the Victoria tech community.

The VIATEC awards celebrate the achievements of technology companies responsible for making Greater Victoria the fastest growing technology region in BC, as well as the leaders, creators and innovators that have driven the local tech sector to $4.06 billion in annual sales and $5.22 billion in economic impact.

RingPartner received the Community Champion award presented by the City of Victoria. This award recognizes companies that are making an effort to improve the community by supporting charities, putting on fundraisers and volunteer work. RingPartner is involved with a variety of local charities including the VIATEC Food Bank Challenge, Lawn Summer Nights, Our Place, and The Mustard Seed.  The team also regularly gathers clothing and home goods donations for local organizations that support women in need.

RingPartner was presented with the award for Technology Company of the Year (11-29 employees) on Friday night as well. This award celebrates established companies that are bringing in considerable revenues, growing, expanding, giving back to the community, and cheering on up and coming tech companies in the industry. RingPartner has experienced tremendous growth over the last year and the team was honoured to receive this award! Todd Dunlop, RingPartner’s co-founder and CEO, accepted the award thanking the team who gathered onstage with him and the tech community for their support and encouragement over the years.

In addition to receiving the prestigious technology awards, RingPartner also committed a significant donation to the VIATEC Foundation, which raised $210,000 during the VIATEC Awards event to improve food security in Greater Victoria region.

The team at RingPartner celebrated their accomplishments at the VIATEC Awards in true #RedShoeCrew style, decked out in red attire and lively spirits.
